Responsibilities:
1. Design and Engineering:
Develop detailed mechanical designs, specifications, and plans in compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and codes.
2. System Analysis:
Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure the feasibility, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems.
3. Equipment Selection and Specification:
Select and specify mechanical equipment based on project requirements, technical specifications, and performance criteria.
4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including electrical, civil, and instrumentation, to ensure integrated and coordinated design solutions.
5. Material Selection:
Choose appropriate materials for mechanical components, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
6. Project Planning:
Contribute to project planning by providing input on mechanical engineering requirements, timelines, and resource needs.
7. Procurement Support:
Work closely with procurement teams to identify and select suppliers for mechanical equipment and components. Review vendor submittals for compliance.
8. CAD Modeling:
Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems.
9. Technical Documentation:
Prepare and review technical documentation, including equipment datasheets, specifications, and design reports.
10. Quality Assurance:
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that mechanical designs meet specified standards and requirements.
11. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
12. Project Coordination:
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall project design.
13. Cost Estimation:
Assist in estimating costs associated with mechanical components and systems.
14. Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks related to mechanical design aspects and propose mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. Experience:
Previous experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on EPC projects preferred.
Minimum 8 Years experience in oil amp; gas EPC Projects
3. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for mechanical design.
4. Analysis Tools:
Familiarity with engineering analysis tools for simulations and calculations.
5. Materials Knowledge:
Knowledge of materials and their applications in mechanical design.
6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers from other disciplines.
7. Communication Skills:
