Job Description
Overview:
The position is for a skilled electrical engineer proficient in Oil and Gas EPC projects execution. The candidate and must have good skills and knowledge in project engineering, design, and coordination on the site. The engineer must be proficient in making design, selection, engineer technical submissions and must be proficient in delivering project engineering, documentation required for EPC and Oil amp; Gas customers. Ability to coordinate between different vendors, OEM and designing team for delivery of the project is required. Must have good experience in the Electrical, EPC, Oil and Gas field and works independently on the tasks. Responsible for delivering project coordination, small - medium complexity electrical projects under minimal or no supervision. Seek opportunities to learn, gain experience and advance. The role will be based on site on Industrial area St 35 with minimal travel requirements to customer sites.
Duties amp; Responsibilities
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration of electrical systems with overall project design.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, clients, and contractors.
Project Planning and Design:
- Perform engineering for the electrical projects preparing MAR, Technical submissions and project required documentations.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and MOMs, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the project team.
Equipment Selection and Specification:
- Select and specify electrical equipment based on project requirements and technical specifications.
- Prepare equipment datasheets and technical bid evaluations.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on electrical installations.
Documentation:
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records as per the approved MDRs/ VDRLs.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on project status, including progress, issues, and upcoming milestones, for presentation to project stakeholders.
Client Interaction:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Requirements
Education amp; Certification:
- Electrical engineering.
- AutoCAD Electrical
- MS office tools
Skills amp; Competencies:
- Good communication (Verbal amp; Written) amp; interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Engineering, Drawings, Single line diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Project management skills, with a focus on planning, coordination, and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary project team.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in Oil and Gas and EPC experience preferred
