Head of Visual Merchandising

This role will be responsible for the all Visual Merchandising (VM) considerations within the Galeries Lafayette store in Doha. Directing and managing a large team of visual merchandisers this role is critical in defining the unique customer experience and visualization that is so key to the Galeries Lafayette brand and that will set this store off from the competition. In addition to Galeries Lafayette this role will have a direct line into the Executive Vice Chairman to support other Group Retail business and when required.

Requirements

• A creative genius that can demonstrate a real flare for retail visual merchandising.
• At least 10 years’ experience.
• Highly motivated and self-starter.
• Must have worked in a Luxury fashion environment, preferable a department store.
• Use to working in large format stores with different departments that require different solutions.
• A high degree of gravitas and personality. This person must lead from the front.
• Organized with attention to detail as well as being creative.
• Excellent spoken English preferably with French speaking background.
• Knowledge on Arabic culture, market and local fashion trends would be useful.
