We are seeking to recruit on behalf of our client a SENIOR ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER to work in our client’s ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT based in Qatar on a long term residential contract married or single status
Experience / Qualifications Required
10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years in Oil amp; Gas industry, with an international consulting company, EPIC contractor or Operating Company in the field of Rotating Equipment
Hands on engineering capability in Rotating Equipment areas in Onshore and/Offshore applications such as large Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors, Turbo-Expanders, large capacity Main Oil pumps, large Cooling Water pumps, Gas Turbine drives, electric Variable Speed Drives, various hydrocarbon handling pumps including cryogenic service
Possess sound technical knowledge in all areas of rotating equipment machinery selection, application, design, installation, commissioning and start-up and have ability to resolve complex technical problems arising at the design, commissioning and start-up phases including performance testing
High proficiency in thermodynamic and machine design knowledge of the Rotating equipment and the related accessories
Knowledge of International, Shell DEPs and/or other similar standards related to area of expertise
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and be fluent in written and spoken English
Bachelor degree in discipline engineering
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
