You will be working as Field Service Engineer and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Global Markets based in Doha, Qatar. In this role you will be reporting to the Senior Service Engineer and will be responsible for executing low to medium complexity tasks based on the ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Delivering quality services to the customers and identifying new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities

Assisting local teams and service partners on the installation and commissioning of chargers.

Performing service tasks such as installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance activities and identifying technical problems and analyzing the solutions based on the same.

Contributing to customer satisfaction by delivering the tasks based on the customer expectation and identifying new sales opportunities.

Maintaining good relationship with customers.

Preparing and ensuring all materials, parts and equipment are available as per the requirement.

Offering advice on complex electrical or mechanical problems based on data obtained from cloud connected service systems.

Ensuring the troubleshooting activities are carried out effectively and providing solutions to avoid the occurrence of the equipment failure in the future.

Assisting the management by providing improvement actions on operational aspects and customer service.

Ensuring the safety rules and guidelines are practiced and followed in the team and reporting if there are any deviations from it.

Job Specification

Your background

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the same field.

Candidates must have experience in communication protocols, Linux and scripting knowledge.

Experience in Power Electronics is an added advantage.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
