Key Tasks amp; Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Reporting Manager, the Business Development Manager has the prime
responsibility of establishing and implementing business development strategies and plans for the
assigned brands. The Business Development Manager will work closely with other departments
and will manage the external Communications and Research agencies in relation to assigned
brands.
Manage and implement an integrated business development strategy so that it is aligned with
the long-term strategic objectives.
To prepare and gain approvals to Business Development Plans and Budgets to assist in meeting
the Commercial department targets.
Manage and implement Brand business development plans to enhance customer satisfaction
and maximize profitable sales from each customer target segment.
Manage the roll out of all promotional initiatives, activation events.
Explore and develop new opportunities including new concepts or services and new customer
relationships to generate revenue growth.
Develop community relations amp; other relationship programs.
Communicate and enforce standards and guidelines for all brand communications to ensure
consistency and level of quality and objectives are achieved.
Utilize a competitive intelligence system to maximize marketplace advantages and conduct
market researches to understand target segment behaviour.
Manage a system of measuring and reporting Business Development Departments to
ensure agreed objectives are achieved.
To motivate and develop staff ensuring that performance is measured and training needs
recommended.
Assisting in the performance of other special duties and projects as needed in support of
organizational goals.
