Job Description

Expressions of interest are invited for upcoming projects in Qatar.

Xodus Group welcomes the journey towards Net Zero and, as a consequence, is evolving to support our clients through the Energy Transition required to achieve this aim.

The Energy Transition represents an exciting new challenge for our engineers to re-apply their existing skillsets, as well as to develop new ones. We are, primarily, problem-solvers. Our skill not in turning the handle on traditional operations, technologies and deliverables but in thinking and applying ourselves to our client’s challenges and requests for help. We are not, therefore, completely wedded to what has gone before but relish the transformation in the energy market that will provides us with even more opportunities to engage in the years ahead.

Xodus support clients in undertaking front end engineering studies in areas such as decarbonisation, electrification, CCUS, hydrogen, renewables as well as conventional Oil and Gas.

As we move further into the scoping, development and execution of such energy projects, we require to add new skills and experience to our consultancy mix. Due to continued and expected growth with our hydrocarbons, decarbonisation and hydrogen engineering capability Xodus is looking to strengthen our Digital and Data capability locally in the Middle East.

Xodus Digital and Data team works in harmony with our engineering specialists to create engineering-led tools and products for our clients that offer true value in their functionality across decarbonisation, emissions reduction, production enhancement, safety, integrity and maintenance visualisation and optimisation.

Requirements

Qualifications/Skill/Competencies


  • Degree qualified in relevant technical discipline. E.g., Engineering, Data Science or Information Systems.
  • Scrum master certification
  • Experience in the development amp; delivery of Digital tools and / or software and the management of cross-discipline teams involved in Oil amp; Gas/Energy Sector projects.
  • Experience in Agile project delivery e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning and reviews.
  • Experience in management of Scrum frameworks, planning and delivery
  • Relevant management amp; interfacing experience with multiple stakeholders including technical subject matter experts, project mangers, engineers and 3rd party subcontracts (including developers)
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting digital projects
  • Experience of innovation processes and / or tools would be beneficial.

The role demands a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant with experience of working in multi-discipline teams through various design phases, as well as having an active interest in assisting clients and the wider energy industry through the transition to Net Zero.

The successful candidate will be capable of providing input to a multi-disciplined, multi stakeholder team, using previous experience, domain knowledge and judgement, to find and implement first class proactive solutions for our clients. They should have prior experience of working on delivery of digital tools, products or services.

The candidate should be comfortable with communicating technical concepts in a straightforward manner to digital project engineers, technical subject matter experts, project managers and 3rd party entities, demonstrating the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers succinctly for all audiences and being competent at interfacing at all levels with a wide variety of disciplines.

The role will also demand the candidate to be adaptable to varying assignments at short notice and multi-task for delivery of concurrent assignments, as required, as well as be able to convey the Company’s competencies, vision and values to internal and external clients.
