Requirements
About the role
The role involves coordinating with the sales team for automation projects to ensure the smooth transfer of orders, costing sheets, payment terms, and project documents. The lead engineer is responsible for various tasks, including preparing presentations for kickoff meetings, surveying the site, ordering hardware, developing critical documents, and creating project schedules. Once documents are approved by the end client, the lead engineer oversees various phases of the project, including FAT, SAT, commissioning, training, and closeout. Applicants should have extensive experience in the field and work independently on tasks. The focus is on utilizing previous experience and combining technical knowledge with customer service skills to manage activities for a department or division effectively. Responsible for processing medium to high-complexity tasks under no supervision.
Education amp; Experience:
- BE - Electronics amp; Telecommunication or Instrumentation )
- Must have a minimum experience of 10 years or more in automation projects
Skills amp; Competencies:
- Must have an excellent knowledge of PLC programming, PLC graphics building, wiring of cabinets, executing FAT, I-FAT , SAT, and site activities
- Must have good knowledge of communication protocols like Modbus serial, Modbus TCP/IP , fieldbus , profibus .
- Must have worked on oil and gas projects in Qatar
- Must have executed projects independently large-size projects.
- Cybersecurity knowledge of IEC 62443 standards would be added advantage.
- Experience in electrical products like VFD,s would be added advantage.
- Must have experience in SCADA
- Experience in programming Rockwell PLCs like Compactlogix, Contrologix, Siemens PLCs like S7 400 , S7 1500 , ABB PLC s like AC 500, and other PLC is a must.
